Jack Thomas Meier was blessed on Sunday. It was a special day. This little boy has so many people who love him. Jared gave him a beautiful blessing. He blessed Jack that he would know throughout his life that his Father in Heaven and Jesus love him and that he would have faith and a testimony that they are real. Jared blessed him that he would have a desire to be obedient and that he would know where to turn for guidance and direction.
Adam and Katie came down and saw Jack for the first time. It was fun to see them and to see Pippa and Oscar together. It is hard to believe how fast Jack is growing. We love every moment we get to spend with him.

Well this was my last Mother's Day phone call from a missionary. When your kids are on a mission you live for and look forward to these phone calls.
It was so fun to talk to Brittney. She is so happy and loves Korea. She bore her testimony to us in Korean. It is amazing to me that you can take a girl from Texas send her to Korea to teach the gospel and she grows into a woman before your eyes. This girl left on her mission not even liking rice and now she has rice and kimche for every meal and loves it. It is such a testimony to me that when we turn our life over to Christ, He can make more out of it than we could of on our own.
I love this girl. She loves her mission and it was so fun talking to her. I am grateful for Skype. It's so fun to actually see her.

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! It was spent with women that I love and admire. I was blessed with a wonderful mother and grandmothers. They are gone now but I realize that there are still many people that have made a difference in my life.
I really wanted to have a big party even though I knew it would be a lot of work for me. I am so grateful for Kev's help and support in all my crazy adventures.
Starting on the left
Robin is Chelsey's mom. She is amazing. Never says an unkind word. She is a joy to be around and she has raised a great family that I love. Then is Chelsey. I have loved her from the day I met her. She has made Jared so happy and has given me a grandson. She is always so positive. Next in the picture is my aunt Diane. She is my mom's sister. I love having her in Texas. She is an amazing women. She is so talented and a great example to me. Next is Christy. She is married to my nephew Christopher. I am getting to know her better each time we are together. I love her because Christopher loves her and she makes him happy. They are in Austin for the summer and I am hoping to see them more often. Ashley is on the end. I know that she will be a great mother one day!
Several important women in my life weren't here. My daughter-in-law Katie is so fun to be around. I love spending time with her and she loves Adam. My sister Kelle is amazing and has a huge heart. My sister-in-law Kay has taught me about serving others. Kev's mom, Kathryn raised an amazing son that I love. I am so grateful for other friends that have inspired me to be a better woman and mother.
I am so grateful to be a mother. I feel like my kids have made that job so fun. I feel so much love and respect from them. They make me feel special every day. I love them more than they will know until they have kids of their own. Kev has always let me know that my job as a mother is the most important thing I could be doing. I am so blessed to have these people in my life.

First picture is from Children's day. The second is from a dessert party. And the last picture is Brittney with Sister Jo her recent convert. I love it when she send pictures.
Transfers came today and I am staying in Gwanju with Sister Lee. I am so excited so I will finish my mission here in Gwanju.
I love this area and the people.
We had a zone activity and went to the zoo. It was fun. We got to feed the elephants. Tuesday we went to meet with an investigator. It was raining really hard and we were walking. It was rough.
We were out of kimche and we really needed some. So were hoping the people that we visited would ask us if we needed kimche because they usually do but no one ask us. (I can't believe that)
We did surveys in the downtown area. There was so many people because it was a beautiful day. We taught a mother and her 2 sons. It was good.

I have been asking Brittney for pictures of where she lives. I finally got them and to be honest I was a little disappointed. I am not sure what I was expecting but these pictures look like they could from an apartment here and not on the other side of the world. Silly I know!!!
I knew she slept on the floor and I am glad that it looks like she has a nice pad. I wonder if she made her bed just for the picture.

Today we went to our old Fajita Willie's off 290 and West Little York. This place was a big part of our life when we had five little kids and lived in our first home. Every Monday kids ate free. When you have five kids you take advantage of any chance for kids to eat free. It also made a good family night and we often saw people from our ward.
I was a mean mom because my kids never got to play in the sand box. So the picture of the sandbox is for Adam. Sorry you never enjoyed that simple pleasure.
A few months ago I was in the AT & T store and a lady said she remembered me and my family from our days at Fajita Willie's. She was our waitress over 15 years ago. I guess that tells you that we were loyal customers. Love Mexican food!!!

I was at the temple today. It has been a few months since I have been on a regular basis. There is no place that helps me put things into perspective. I am so grateful for a place of refuge from the world. When I go I feel so much peace and happiness. I leave with a greater love for my family, more gratitude for all my many blessings, and a resolve to be more Christlike.
I love to see the temple. I'm going there someday. To feel the Holy Spirit, to listen and to pray. For the temple is a house of God.
I am grateful for parents who set such a powerful example of love for the temple. Grateful for kids who are worthy to go to the temple and for a husband that shares my love for the temple.
